Step-by-step instructions to use the Operator Interface to track work sessions.

Introduction

In order for inventory to move around the shop floor, we start and end Work Sessions to tell the system what parts we made. When we

At a high level, when you do this, you'll:

  1. Select a priority list item from the list:

Starting a Work Session

Do this when you're starting to work on something new.

  1. In your operator home, scroll to search for the relevant operation you want to perform. You can do so by toggling between the tabs “My Work”, “All Work”, “Work Group”, “Prod Item”, “Operation”, “Order” and “Process”.

  2. For easy accessibility, you can simply perform a search to look for the operation you want to perform.

  3. Select the operation and click the play button which is not activated.

  4. Choose the resource which you are going to work with on the modal. For quick access, you may add resources to your favourites.

  5. Ensure that the run size is accurate, or edit it to your preference and need.

  6. Click on “Start Session” to begin on an operation.

  7. Now this session is highlighted in green to show an active session. You may pause or stop this operation by simply choosing the session and the relevant buttons.

Stopping a Work Session

  1. Select the operation you want to stop.

  2. Click on the stop button.

  3. Ensure that the total parts produced is accurate.

  4. By clicking on the “Add report” button you may add a report to raise any issues in the previous batch.

  5. Click on “End Session”.

  6. You will be guided on the next steps once you end the session.

Cycling an Operation

Cycling an operation is a way to end the current session and start one of the system

  1. Select the operation you want to cycle.

  2. Click on the blue cycle button.

  3. Ensure that the finished parts, inputs and batch size used is accurate.

  4. By clicking on the “Add report” button you may add a report to record any problems in the previous batch.

  5. Press on “Cycle Session”.

Pausing & Resuming an Operation

To make it easier to log your time, you can pause and resume sessions.

  1. Select the operation you want to pause / unpause. This must be an active session. (will be green or orange)

  2. Press the orange pause button to pause, or the green play button to resume.

Scraping Part (NCR Button)

You can report scrapped parts when ending or cycling a session. If you want to save your report for later, you can press the NCR button while an an active priority list item is selected.

  1. Click on the ‘NCR’ button.

  2. Add the quantity of products affected.

  3. Add the relevant reasons.

  4. You may continue to add report or ‘Submit’ it.

  1. Click on stop or cycle session.

  2. Click on Add report.

  3. Add the quantity of products affected.

  4. Add the relevant reasons.

  5. You may continue to add report or ‘Submit’ it.
