Multi-Output Operations

Multi-output processing involves taking a single input and transforming it into multiple outputs. This is common in operations like CNC turning, where a single bar can be parted off into multiple sections.

Examples

Example 1: Taking a 12-inch bar and CNC turning it to part off 4, 3-inch sections gives you an input of 1 and an output of 4.

Example 2: Imagine you have a tombstone fixture that can hold 8 parts on its four faces. You need to produce 80 identical components. By using the tombstone, you can complete 8 parts at a time per operation, requiring only 10 cycles to complete the entire job.

How to configure Multi-Output

When creating a “Make Item” configure the toggle for Multi-Out and enter the expected output of parts from the operation.
