ProtoCart simplifies the process of adding buy items to StartProto from the vendor websites you visit regularly. This Chrome/ Edge extension enables you to add and modify purchase items directly from vendor sites, as well as view recent item activity.

B.) Installation
Installation is simple, quick, and convenient. This Chrome extension can be installed via the Chrome Store. Follow below to install:
1.) System Requirements
Desktop/Laptop/Workstation Computer (Currently no support for Android/IpadOS/IOS Devices)
Running a current operating system that receives Chrome browser updates. (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
The latest Chrome / Edge / Chromium browser (We recommend Chrome)
An active StartProto account (Note: Please note that new users may experience a short delay in accessing ProtoCart after signing up)
2.) Download ProtoCart
Go To The Chrome Store Extension Here
Click the “Add To Chrome” Button on the left side.
ProtoCart pop-up will display when installed successfully.
That’s It; You successfully installed ProtoCart! 🎉
3.) Setup ProtoCart
ProtoCart automatically uses the information provided by the currently logged-in user of StartProto. For ease of use, ensure sign-in prior to the use of ProtoCart.
3.1) Reload Data
Sometimes Reloading ProtoCart may be required in such cases of logging in or Auto-logout. To do so:
Ensure you are logged in to app.startproto.com on an active tab.
Click the ProtoCart Icon in your browser bar
Click the 3-Dots inside the ProtoCart window
Select “Reload ProtoCart” from the popup
3.2) Pin ProtoCart To Browser Bar
Click The Extension icon in the top right corner
Click the pin icon next to ProtoCart
ProtoCart is now pinned to your browser bar
C.) Using ProtoCart
In this section, you’ll learn to use ProtoCart on supported websites to create buy items, update buy options, and view recent item history.
1.) When Is ProtoCart Ready
The top right of your browser bar houses the icon for ProtoCart. This icon displays two states of ProtoCart, “Active” and “Inactive”. When you navigate to an item on supported website, ProtoCart will become “Active,” enabling you to add or make changes.

2.) Adding New Buy Item
ProtoCart simplifies adding buy items by gathering info and creating a new item automatically.
Navigate to any item details page on a supported website and wait for the ProtoCart Icon to display “Active’
Click ProtoCart and select “New Buy Item”
Scroll down and compare data gathered by ProtoCart and the Website (Note: you may need to adjust the unit of measure or purchase unit size)
Lastly, Click “Add to StartProto”
Simple as that you have a new Buy Item!
3.) Adding New Buy Option
ProtoCart simplifies adding buy items by gathering info and creating a new item automatically.
Navigate to any item details page on a supported website and wait for the ProtoCart Icon to display “Active”
Click ProtoCart and select “New Buy Option” (Only available for existing StartProto Items)
Search For The Existing Item And Select
Scroll down and compare data gathered by ProtoCart and the Website (Note: you may need to adjust the unit of measure or purchase unit size)
Lastly, Click “Add to StartProto”
Simple as that, you have a new Buy Option!
4.) Other Item Options
Other Item Options Include:
Head To Part: Directs you to the item in StartProto
Remove Part: Removed the part from StartProto*
Update Part: Allows you to update the item information with the current page content or via manual information overrides.
D.) ProtoCart Within StartProto
Using ProtoCart In StartProto or any non-supported video website allows you to view recently added or modified items. By clicking on an item it will navigate you to the item’s page directly.
